Matt is an associate attorney at the law firm of Warner Angle Hallam Jackson & Formanek, PLC.  Matt's practice focuses on construction law and real estate development.  His construction law experience includes assisting contractors, subcontractors, designers and project owners in a wide variety of issues, including contract drafting and review, mechanic's liens, bonding and insurance, delays, non-payment, bids/proposals and public procurement, warranty and negligence claims, and licensing.  Matt is an experience litigator, but also represents clients before the Registrar of Contractors and is experienced in resolving disputes and is a member of the American Bar Association and Maricopa Bar Association.

Aside from his legal practice, since 2006, Matt has been a faculty associate at the Del E. Webb School of Construction and School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona Sate University in Tempe, Arizona, where he teaches undergraduate seniors and graduate students in the course on construction contract administration.  Matt is also a member of the Alliance for Constructions Excellence (ACE) at Arizona State University, where he participates in task force groups dealing with alternative project delivery methods (APDM) and public private partnerships (P3).  Matt is also a member of the Arizona Registrar of Contractors Industry Advisory Council.

Matt obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy in 2002 from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and his Juris Doctorate Degree in 2005 from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.  While in law school, Matt clerked for former Chief Judge Stephen M. McNamee at the United States Federal District Court, District of Arizona, in an externship program.
