Mr. Kurtz practices in the area of real estate law, with primary emphasis on commercial real estate lending, serving as Arizona counsel for lending institutions in Arizona and across the country. Clients he has represented include life insurance companies, banks, savings and loan associations and mortgage companies. He has acted as Regional Counsel for lending institutions on transactions in California, Washington State, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. Currently a substantial part of his practice involves regional counsel work in other Western states in addition to Arizona. Mr. Kurtz's practice has included land acquisition, construction and permanent financing, as well as the workout of troubled loans. While most of the clients he has represented are lenders, he also has extensive experience with developers, both in real estate acquisition and sale transactions, and in lending matters in Arizona and in other Western states.
