James X. Theut is an Associate Attorney at Warner Angle Hallam Jackson & Formanek PLC. His practice focuses on Estate and Trust Litigation.

James has consistently obtained favorable results in Estate and Trust Litigation matters. He litigates contested matters involving complex trusts and estates. James represents Successor Trustees, Personal Representatives, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries such as Durable Agents throughout Maricopa County. In addition to estate controversy, James has significant experience in Probate and Trust administration, Estate and Trust planning, and Guardianship and Conservatorship litigation. James has been recognized as a Rising Star by Southwest Super Lawyers. He is a member of the Maricopa County Bar Association and is admitted in Arizona, Illinois, and the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona.

James earned his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University. In Chicago, he interned for the Honorable Anthony Kyriakopoulos, Cook County Circuit Judge, and trained extensively under noted criminal defense attorney Professor Richard Kling. A native Arizonan, James enjoys weightlifting, golfing, and reading in his free time.
