Eli Lopez practices in the areas of estate planning, business law, and taxation.
Eli earned his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. During law school, he externed at the Maricopa County Superior Court, where he worked under the supervision of the Honorable Jennifer Green in the Juvenile Transfer Offender Program (JTOP), a specialty court designed to help youthful offenders succeed on probation through structured supervision and rehabilitative programming. During his LL.M. year, Eli served as a preceptor and research assistant in federal tax policy under Mona Hymel, Director of the Tax Law and Policy Program at the University of Arizona. He also worked with the Pio Decimo Center’s Low Income Taxpayer Clinic to assist clients with IRS controversies, and together with Hymel, helped establish the clinic as an externship opportunity for Arizona law students.
Eli earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from the University of Arizona. Before beginning his legal career, he held a real estate license and primarily worked with single-family residential homes, experience that continues to inform his current practice.
In his free time, Eli enjoys spending time with family and collecting antique art and books.
